This error occurs when Business Central can’t find the item with the given item number. Usually, it’s because the item number is blank or incorrectly entered.
To fix it:
- Check that the Item No. is correctly filled in the journal or document line.
- Go to Items and verify that the item exists and is active (not blocked).
- If importing via Excel, ensure item numbers are not missing in the import file.
